DISNEYLAND (CALIFORNIA, US)

INTRODUCTION:

Disneyland is located in Anaheim California only 80 mile from San Diego and 380 mile from San Francisco. Disneyland is the world’s first family oriented mega theme park. It has mainly two parks one is Disneyland theme Park and the other one is Disney’s California adventure park both are operated and owned by Walt Disney parks resorts. This is the land where you will feel as you are on seventh heaven. It is a wonderland for family vacation. You will be lucky if you get a chance to visit this land of dreams.

ATTRACTIONS:

Disneyland is having two parks Disneyland theme park and Disneyland California Adventure Park. It is spread in huge area and will take time and patience to cover it. Theme park is having entertaining rides, shows, parades, fireworks. It is an awesome place, everything is very beautifully managed and designed here. There is something for everyone. It is a truly perfect place for family entertainment and vacation, especially for kids and females. California Adventure Park is having big rides, shows and parades. These big, screaming, thrilling rides are really good if anyone love rides so Disneyland’s both parks are complete fun pack. There are so many souvenir shops and restaurants too.

DISNEYLAND THEME PARK In Disneyland theme park there are countless entertaining attractions and it is hard to cover all. In Disneyland there is something for every age and for everyone. Some selective and good attractions which you will not find anywhere else except Disneyland are given below.

ROGER RABBITS CAR TOON SPIN In this ride you will feel as you are in 4D world and you having to wear special 3D glasses to enter this imaginary world. In this ride you will sit in a small car. You can share your car with your partner. Car wheel will be in your control. During your ride you will see so many different characters some characters will make you afraid so you will enjoy the pleasure of driving in this ride.

BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAIL ROAD As the name suggests it is a model representing mountain rail. In this you will enjoy the water, twist and turns of rail which you may have never experienced before. Stalagmites, stalactites such type of natural wonders you will enjoy here during this ride. If you are afraid of roller coasters then in that case you have to sit in the middle or if you are more adventurous then sit on the front seat in roller coaster. But for that sometimes you have to wait for other round to get front sea. It is one of my favorite rides inside Disneyland Theme Park.

INDIANA JONES ADVENTURE It is an underground roller coaster in dark. You will face insects, mummies, lava filled caverns in this ride. So if you like Indiana Jones movie go for this ride. In this ride you will feel like you are sitting a open Jeep and in the middle of forest, dark and unknown adventurous territory.

SPACE MOUNTAIN In this ride you will feel as you are sitting in rocket which is going to space in dark night and so many stars and moon are in your reach. Beautiful music play inside this area. You will feel as you are in the sky and can catch stars and moon. It’s awesome ride with hi tech motion and special effects.

STAR TOURS During this ride you will sit on a chair and see ice covered caverns and moon. You will also feel as you are going through moon and caverns. It is a very good ride. Motion effects are awesome.

HAUNTED MANSION In this mansion you will sit in a car and this will go through horror zone which will make you feel scary. You will be afraid while going through mansion, make sure you feel the place, else it will not be that fun.

JUNGLE CRUISE During this cruise you will see Southeast Asian Irrawaddy River, The African Nile River, The South American Amazon River, where you will surrounded by rain forest, The Indian Ganghes River, where the rich culture meets the shore and the River Home, the most dangerous of all. This ride is good opportunity to get experience of all rivers in one time.

DISNEYLAND RAIL ROAD If you want to avoid going from one section to another section by walk you can take a rail trip and step down at your destination section or whenever you feel tired in the evening or so, sit in this rail and take a complete theme park round. On the way you will see Dinosaur’s world and Canyon. It is good and relaxing ride.

MAD TEA PARTY This ride is especially for family. In this ride you will sit in cup plate shape vehicle and as fast you move your steering your cart will move fast. This is a good and fun filled ride for kids specially.

FIREWORKS Fire works are the main part of Disneyland. It works with sweet music. It magnifies the beauty of this place. It is simply outstanding when Castle glitter with lights, reflects different colors and lovely fireworks accompany them. At this time you will feel as you are in the land of dream or heaven. Fireworks daily happens at 8:30 pm in Theme park so it will be better if you go there before time and reserve a seat or place for you so that you can see it properly or record it. Praise worthy synchronization of music and fireworks.

FANTASMIC It’s a laser show with more than 50 live performers. It is other spectacular night time show in Disneyland so many laser light, projectors, fountains are used to maintain this show. In this show image is projected on water fountain which one of it’s kind in whole world. So it will be better first you should see fireworks and after you should cover it.

PARADE In Disneyland parade is very beautiful creation with so many dancing Disney characters who will entertain you. some time on Christmas occasion or on Halloween this parade is based on theme. In this parade they use so many electrical, musical and entertaining sources and live characters they dance and do funny activities to make you joyous. It is also a good part of Theme park.

DISNEYLAND CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE PARK There are lot many good rides and shows in this park. It is not as big as theme park but it is more adventurous than theme park. There are abundant of thrilling rides as in theme park filled with small rides and shows. This is spread in limited area. Some good rides are as under.

MALIBOOMER This is a free fall ride with height of 180 feet, which will be like 18 stories high rise building. In 4 seconds ride will shoot you to this much height and then there is a free fall, zero gravity, it will make you crazy.

Believe me when it will take you up, no matter how many friends told you to scream, you will forget the scream and your voice will go void. And once it will fall, you will scream like crazy, this is a lot of fun and thrill.

CALIFORNIA SCREAMIN This is the ride which makes you scream. It is the biggest roller coaster of the park (and whole area) with sharp twist and turns with high speed. It’s speed will make you scream. Awesome and outstanding ride for adventure/thrill lovers. At one stage you will turn upside down in the ride, meaning your feet will be up and your head will be down.

GOLDEN ZEPHYR It is a rocket shaped ride. It revolves around the pillar and you will feel as you are taking round in air. During spring and fall season when Santa Ana wind is heavy, these guys stop this ride because accident can happen, as rocket can touch cemented surface.

MICKEY FUN WHEEL It is a huge wheel there are two type of cage swing trolley and without swing usual trolley. Swing wheel/cage are more entertaining than non swing because once you get up of the top you can see the Disneyland park from the height and you will feel as you are swinging in the air.

MULHOLLAND MADNESS It is a small roller coaster in which small car shaped vehicle moves individually. There are lot of small cars two person can accommodate in one car or you can sit individually too. It is tiny roller coaster but do not think that it is smaller than anything. You will enjoy in it as you enjoy in California screaming. Small but full of thrill.

SOARIN OVER CALIFORNIA It is imagination ride in it you will feel as you are sitting in a hang glider it passes through Golden gate, Tahoe, Yosemite valley and so on. This is the cheapest California tour deal to visit California within 15 minutes. Hard to miss this ride grab it. Awesome ride.

THE TWILIGHT ZONE TOWER OF TERROR It is a elevator based ride which is in dark situated inside a horrible hotel. It will go down as free fall and come up with speed and will not give you time to think anything. After dark suddenly they open a shutter and day light will come in and at that time you will be at 8th or 10th floor or feel as you are going to fall from the height of the building. Very scary and will challenge your patience.

TOY STORY MANIA In this ride you will sit in a small car and a gun will be placed in that car you have to hit balloons. As much balloons you burst you will get points which will display at exit point or can see points in your car desktop also. There is some highest point record too so try to break it.

DISNEYS ALLADIN SHOW There is a one Aladdin show a musical spectacular magical wonder. It is live show performed by so many live artist. This is good show of 45 minutes. It is recommended show. Will loose something important if you miss this show. Awesome performers perform perfectly.

OPTIMIZED 1 DAY PLAN FOR BOTH PARKS:

After reviewing all attractions our recommended plan is, you should start early from your home (or hotel) so that you can reach Disneyland sharp at 8 ‘o’ clock or before so that you can park your car (it will take approx ½ hr). 8AM to 10 AM you enjoy in theme park 10 ‘o’ clock adventure park will open so 10AM to 6PM explore the adventure parks rides and shows . Most probably you will be done with this park before 6 ‘o’ clock to till mid night enjoy or rock your day in the company of theme park between your adventure park hours you can see the timings of daily shows if some show perform in between you can go to theme park to cover that too or can eat and shop too. Do not forget to use your fast pass it will help you to save your time. For special events visit to Disneyland’s official site. According to this plan you can cover all rides in one day and please do not waste your time in taking small rides of theme park in the starting because it open till mid night so you can take it later try to first cover all the recommended main attractions of adventure park because it close at 6 ‘o’ clock.

HOW TO REACH:

Disneyland is easily accessible by road or by air. It is 1 hr drive from San Diego and 5 hr drive from San Francisco to Anaheim. Flight takes hardly 2 hrs. Parking fee is $14 at Disneyland you cannot avoid this anyhow otherwise you have to walk a lot or you will be exhaust in the very start. There is Disneyland free tram service which will take you parking lot to Disneyland theme park. Both parks are interconnected easily accessible by walk and ticket windows are at the intersection of both parks. Do not forget to tick your parking space number and parking lot name in you parking ticket it will help you when you return to car.

STAY:

You can stay in Disneyland resort. In Disneyland resort there are hotels they provide some extra service or benefits to their guest sometimes free parking or free park tickets to one park or you can stay in Los Angeles also in that case you can explore LA also.

ADVISE:

Disneyland is a very big park spread in huge area so planned your trip before to go there. Which ride you want to cover, which show you want to see. Do not forget to write down which ride or show are in which area or land because theme park is divided in so many lands like tomorrow land or fantasy land. Buy tickets from Craig list it will cost you half and check the validity of tickets. They will only scan tickets at ticket window no id or finger stamp required for that. Normally 1 day park hopper ticket which is valid for both parks is $ 97 and on Craig list it is easily available @ $ 50 in that case you will save $ 47 so its good deal. There is fast pass free service in the park do not forget to use this service it will save your time. Every after 2 hrs you can use it once to avoid long queue or you will get directly in. This fast pass machine is situated near to all rides. In Disneyland sanitizers are located at some places so use it for your own safety. Bengal Barbeque is the cheapest and the delicious food joint try it once. It is some where near Indiana Jones ride. Take good care of your belongings. There are lockers also provided these lockers are paid so if you want to put something in it go ahead.
