SAN DIEGO (CALIFORNIA, US)

INTRODUCTION:

San Diego is the second largest city in California. It is approx 500 mile from San Francisco. San Diego is very famous for its sunny weather. Beaches are the real assets of this city. It is very beautiful city with full of countless tourist spots such as world famous Zoo, Sea World, beautiful beaches, countless museums, parks, Mexico border. Los Angeles is in north which is only 110 mile from San Diego. It is the preferred tourist destination among people around the world.

ATTRACTIONS:

In San Diego there are countless attraction we can say it is the hub of attraction. There is no end of it.

SAN DIEGO ZOO is the world famous zoo it is near San Diego down town area. There are 4000 animals and 700 approx species. It is very beautifully maintained. Parking is free in zoo. There are many shops inside and outside of zoo such as food centers, kids shops, apparel shop from where you can buy San Diego zoo souvenirs kids can buy panda toys.

There are bus guided tour and sky fary also which is free with best value admission ticket $35 not free with general admission.

BUS GUIDED TOUR Bus is double storey upside is open top. This is specially for old aged people who cannot walk a lot. It gives them a ride and stops at every spot so that you can take pictures and can watch animals from the bus.

SKY FARY is a cable car it lifts you from one corner to another one so that you can observe which portion of zoo you forget to cover it is a good ride, Some time for that you have to wait in queue for 15 minutes but it moves fast.

There are animals shows also which are free to watch

WEGEFORTH BOWL it is wonderful show of sea lions. In it you will see how they follows their volunteer's directions and commands. In that show some times they ask for volunteer so if you go there they give surprise gift for that.

HUNTE AMPHITHEATER is also a show in it you will see variety of beautiful colored birds and they will do something different naughty activities to make people laugh.

GORILLA FEEDING In gorillas feeding you will see and enjoy how they eat sugar cane. It is great part of zoo .There is family of Gorilla’s.

GIRAFFE FEEDING is also a good part of trip .You can feed them yourself but for that you have to pay some extra dollars and you can physically feed them.

Zoo is divided in so many trails like Panda canyons in which you will find Panda with some other animals. Polar rim, Africa rocks, Urban jungle, Elephant odyssey is also wonderful part of the zoo. So each and every part of zoo is must watched It take your complete one day and make you completely exhaust. There is one children’s zoo also There you will find more than 30 exhibits.

In zoo there is something for everyone and for every age. If you are planning to visit zoo first and the foremost thing is to wear your comfortable shoes so that you can walk easily, bring water bottle, sun glasses, sun screen, cap, some snacks. SEA WORLD is one of the very beautiful attraction of San Diego. It is full of rides, shows, shops and many other fun loving activities. There are many shows Shamu’s show, Sea Lion show, Pet rule, Shamus’s sky splash. Shamu’s show and Shamu’s sky splash are wonderful.

SHAMU SHOW in it you will see how beautiful Shamu do so many activities and how their trainers enjoy with them as they understand each other language. It is the most wonderful show of sea world.

SEA LION SHOW in it you will see funny activities of Sea Lions. It is second rating show after Shamus show.

PET RULE This show is specially for kids in it you will see how small pets do lot of funny activities to make kids laugh. In it you will see variety of pets like dog, cat, mouse and so. It is also funny show.

There are so many rides but for adults Journey to Atlantis, Shipwreck rapids, Wild arctic ride are awesome rest are specially for kids.

JOURNEY TO ATLANTIS In it you will enjoy as it is like roller coaster which is half in water and half in dry area. You will enjoy its very nice ride. One of the best ride of Sea world.

SHIPWRECK RAPIDS In it you will be in boat which is round shaped and you will enjoy in water or will become wet during this ride please cover your self and your belongings .Good ride.

WILD ARCTIC In it you will feel motion as you are sitting in plane and your plane are stuck somewhere in canyon, going to crash, drowning in water. Very good motion effect you will feel there.

BAY RIDE/SKY RIDE is good if you want to watch sea world from the height and boat race .

SKY TOWER is good in it you can take a brief view of park. It goes up and down and some time turn around so that you can enjoy the sea world in some different manner.

Rest rides are specially for kids. Sky tower and Sky ride to bay side is not included in general admission ticket you have to pay some extra bucks to enjoy these rides rest rides are included in ticket. There are animals which you can see very closely and fresh water aquarium are also present there.

Parking is paid in sea world it is approx $12 but if you want to escape from this you can park your car in south shores parking area its free there and sea world is 1 mile from this place but you need to walk to save $12 . It is safe too.

It is advisable you should buy tickets for sea world from Craig list it is worth and you can get them on its half price. But you have to be careful to buy it because people do fraud. There is no ID and finger scan required for that.

There are ice cream stalls also you can try dip in dots It is available there in 4 or 5 flavors very tasty ice cream must try once. There are many shops of sea world related souvenir items. There are some entertaining games for kids also.

SEA PORT VILLAGE is wonderful place in San Diego. It is very romantic place for couples. It is very near to zoo and San Diego downtown. It is situated on the bank of sea as the name suggest sea port village. It is a port side small village. There you will find lots of entertainment stuff like music, magic, singers, dancers. There are something for every age. So enjoy your day here no matter it night or day every time has its own importance here.

BALBOA PARK is very beautiful park near zoo and San Diego downtown. It covers a huge area of the city. There are so many museums and park. Only one museum is free in this park that is art museum. In this museum you will find the Japanese, American, paintings and antique boxes. Except this museum rest are paid museums in that park. It is very appreciate able architecture. Parking is free in this park. You can park your car and can enjoy the free ride of beautiful tram to the park. It is advisable first you explore park by walk or after that once you feel tired you can sit in the tram and can enjoy the park. This ride will give you another pleasure. There are lot of gardens which are also free to visit like rose garden, cactus garden. If you want to do hiking or walking there are lot of trails also. It is full of fountains and shops to eat. You will find everything here whatever you want to make your day wonderful without spending money. There are free musical shows also their times are vary. You can visit visitor center they will give you information days attraction, timings and will give you park map. Sometimes people celebrates marriages here so you can take a look of different culture marriages also.

BELMONT PARK is a small beachside park is situated near San Diego airport. There are so many fun loving and entertaining rides for kids and adults. Parking and admission in this park is free. Sometimes they give offers for 1 free ticket on your birthday or birth date for that you can see park web site. You can do biking on the beach side or can enjoy with water.

MIRAMAR AIR SHOW is very wonderful of San Diego. There is free admission and parking. Bus service are provided to get people parking area to air show area. Recommended to walk because bus takes lot of time to reach you there because of so much traffic, signals and security. You will feel as you stuck in bus. If you want to show air show closely or avoid buying tickets for that you can go to the end of air show area from where you can see air show clearly as the people see who buy tickets. You can bring your umbrella, folding chairs, sunscreen, cap, sunglasses, food items ,some woolen clothes to make your day easy and entertaining. Here you can spent your 2 to 3 hours by taking pictures air crafts and plains. You can sit inside planes and can do photography. Sometimes you will find the long queue of people to sit in so never mind you should move to next and in return you can take a look of that. There you will find so many stalls of souvenirs and food items. Twilight show is also good you can enjoy fireworks which aircraft will do so you should go there once.

MOUNT SOLEDAD IS 822 feet high. From this place you can take a breath taking view of San Diego, the coast, sparkling water of mission bay and pacific beach sky high down town also. If you will go in the night at the right time you can also enjoy the sea world fireworks show. The cross which is situated at the top of the mountain is the main attraction of this place 2400 black granite tiles surrounded the cross. These granite tiles display the photos , names and stories of American service man and women. This place is dedicated to Korean war veterans. Parking is free here. You can come here and relax in the soft green grass area and in park benches are also placed there. You can do cycling there too. It is east to get to but impossible to miss this place to visit.

CORONADO ISLAND is a small Island which is approx 10 mile from San Diego airport. It is very well connected with San Diego by the Coronado bay bridge. This bridge is toll free and is an example of amazing architecture and design. It is very beautiful Island near to San Diego city. The Island is very popular among tourist and is one of the few residential Island. The specialty of the Island is, here you will find mile long soft, silky, sandy beach (main beach is Coronado beach, adjacent to Ocean Blvd), fine restaurants, spectacular market street where you can enjoy shopping, snacking and relax at the beach side. Near beach you will find free parking on the road side or in the street you can park, which is free. You can explore the Island by walk and you will enjoy it a lot. We will recommend exploring Ocean Blvd market street by walk. You can bring bikes and can do biking. It is the most wonderful place which is very near to San Diego to spent one day. The architecture of houses, hotels restaurants are marvelous. Lamp posts which is standing on the road side adds to the beauty of this Island in the dusk time. If you will opt to go there by bay way you will enjoy more because in that you are going to add the fun of water too in your trip. Some cruises, ferry, boats are regular to this place. Harbor cruise offers whale watching, dinner and dancing like that there are so many other tour cruises too which also offers something like that or better so you can choose according to your budget or choice .

LA JOLLA COVES are beautiful beach with crystal clear and calm water. It is most beautiful and the beast beach in southern California. Here you can see beautiful colorful fishes clearly if you are wearing water goggles. It is very nice place for scuba divers , beginners, kids and for snorkel’s. Sometimes you will find marriages are performed here on beach side ,on hotels roof and in open green area. There is no specific parking place only street parking there hard to find sometimes so only option to park in paid parking area. After enjoying with water you can walk in La Jolla down town area which is very near to La Jolla coves is very happening area cover with plenty of branded stores and food joints. Lifeguard are present here year round for peoples safety. For gathering of more than 50 persons around this area you have to take permission for that as for marriage arrangement type events.

LA JOLLA SHORES is the largest and popular beach in San Diego. Here you will find bunch of people during summer s. You can here inside 100 mt. in water there is shallow water. People come here with family , friends or kids with full preparation to spent their full day here in the company of beautiful surrounding of water, greenery and gathering of people. They bring grill, chairs, umbrella, water costumes and so on to enjoy in sunny day. La Jolla Shores are not good spot for surfers because they need high and big waves which are missing here so its good for beginners and for family with kids. Here you will find small parking lot and street side parking also .Its easy to find parking here but sometimes you will not find space so depends you are lucky or not. Public park is also here so you can play here also. Public restrooms, showers are also here. Not even in day time you can come here in evening also and you can enjoy here with calm company of ocean. You will find some persons are gathered there and chuckling ,enjoying ,doing BBQ and all. So we can say it is very beautiful beach in San Diego which is having soft and silky sand.

CARDIFF BEACH it is very beautiful beach. Parking is not free here. Good place for surfers because here you will find large and heavy waves. If you know swimming and adventure this beach is the perfect match. Lifeguard, public restaurant, shower are provided here. Water is not very clear, shallow till 100 mt. Nice beach from here you can also enjoy sunset.

TORREY PINE BEACH is very beautiful beach which attracts you in its first sight with clear water but stones are there so be careful they can heart you. Here you will find free and paid both type of parking a lot. Generally its hard to get free space but if you can wait for 10 to 15 minutes you can get if somebody done with the beach otherwise you can do paid parking or you can park in the street and can walk to beach. It is very nice beach you will see how water makes three layers and different shapes.

SUNSET CLIFF it is very beautiful spot to see sunset closely and clearly in the company of sea shores. There are so many spots to enjoy cliffs, waves, sunset. Parking is free here. This place is good for surfers because of high waves, ocean gazers because you can sit here and can enjoy the soothing water sound of ocean water but be care full because of unpredictable waves so not safe for kids and disables/handicap persons. Here you can write your name on the sand and can take picture of that you can do photography here, can walk on the side of ocean. There is no lifeguard staff. Perfect place for photography and painting if you are a artist or photography lover.

There are some other beaches too in San Diego but these are the preferred one’s and most beautiful.

3 night 4 days plan to San Diego Zoo, San Diego Sea World, Balboa Park, La Jolla Shores, Mt Soledad

After reviewing all attractions our recommended plan is ....If you want to cover all the attractions of San Diego in 3 nights and 4 days you should start from your home early morning around 6 ‘o’clock so that you can reach there by 2 ’o’clock. After reaching San Diego first and the foremost task is to do check in into your hotel ,eat and take nap approx for 1 hr so that you regain your energy. It will become 4 pm. now than go to La Jolla shores /coves whatever beach you like to visit and enjoy 1 or 2 hrs in water After that eat something in restaurant and directly go to Mt Soledad to enjoy the San Diego from heights. Second day go to Sea world first because if you choose Zoo it will make you completely exhaust because there you need to walk a lot. In the evening you can go La Jolla Shores and enjoy your evening there and relax. Third day you should go to visit Balboa Park. It will take your 3 to 4 hrs rest time you can relax somewhere around any beach and can be recharge for another day. Last day you can go Zoo early morning so that you can finish the Zoo till 3 ‘o’ clock because you have to return same day to pavilion. HOW TO REACH:

San Diego is very easily accessible from all over world .You can reach here by car or by plane. It is 500 mile from San Francisco which takes 7 or 8 hrs if you drive. Flight take only 1 and 1/2 hrs to reach you San Diego. After reaching airport you can hire a taxi or super shuttle to your destination. If you love driving and nature you should drive to San Diego because it is very scenic drive.

STAY:

In San Diego there are many beautiful places to stay. There are lot of nice hotels. Their range are very cheap to expensive .Some times it become tough to choose one out of the long list of hotels. You should always choose hotels according to your budget and near your visiting places. If your budget is tight you can move to hostels sometimes they have private rooms and family rooms. You can do reservation online for your room before to go San Diego it will save your time and money both. Specially on weekends you can get good deals and discounts. You can stay at beach side hotel resort also but it depends on the deal because some times they available in cheap rates and in vacation time they over charged because of demand .Some hotels are good as Stay bridge suits, Extended stay America, Residence inn etc.
