UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD (CALIFORNIA, US)

INTRODUCTION:

Universal studios Hollywood is in Los Angeles. It is 110 miles from San Diego and approx 350 miles from San Francisco. It is very entertaining place which allows you to take a look behind the scenes of movie and serial making. It gives you knowledge how the movie scenes perform and how artificially they make flood, river, fire and car accident and so on. It is full of rides and shows. They arrange the studio very nicely. They covered the elevators with shade and arrange sprinklers at most of the spots so that you can get rid of scorching heat of sun. It give you feeling of refreshment and will keep you full of enthusiasm. This park is divided into two lots Upper lot and the lower lot.

ATTRACTIONS:

This studio is full of attractions. There are so many show, rides, bus tour to park, souvenir shops and restaurants.

There are three rides in the studio.

SIMPSON RIDE this is awesome, best ride of the park in it you will feel as you are sitting in a car and your car is flying in the sky, you are on roller coaster, your car is drowning in the water. It is marvelous. Motion effect of this ride is out of this world. Every one should enjoy this ride twice if you get extra time. Generally this ride take 15 to 20 minutes waiting time.

JURASSIC PARK RIDE in it you will feel as you are sitting in a boat and enjoying in river with so many Dinosaurs around you they will sprinkle water on you and suddenly you will fell down as steep water fall it is very good ride .You can get wet in this ride so keep your belongings in locker or cover camera, mobile, purse, wallet with plastic.

REVENGE OF MUMMY is also good it is underground roller coaster you can not see any thing only few lights and you will feel as some insects are walking somewhere around you.

There are 10 or 12 shows like Back Draft, Water World, Shrek 4 D, Terminator 2:3 D , Special effect stage, Studio tour, House of horror, Adventure of curious George, Universal animal actors etc.

HOUSE OF HORROR is terrifying if you are not very strong you will seriously cry. They made it artificially like that all around dark and someone will come out to kill you, many dead bodies are hanging and lying, Chuky is also present there. You should try it once at least.

WATERWORLD set is also good must watch. They will show how they fight in water and how fire generates in water during war or fight. Based on movie, whole scene is created as it is happening right in front of you in Ocean.

SHREK 4D is very good for kids. It is something different than other 4 Ds.

STUDIO TOUR is wonderful will take your 45 minutes and will show you whole park and so many set of movies, serials, artificial flood, firing, artificial rain, how car move up and down, how cars jump, so many different models of car so on. For that they provide free tram with a guide and LCD screen TV who guide you and will show you which scenes are shot at that place. Keep camera ready while on tour and make good snaps and videos, specially flood scene and earthquake is amazing.

BACKDRAFT in it they will show you how they create artificial fire in back draft movie. It is good show. During show stand in second row because some times fire heat come very close to you so it can heart you so it will be better option for self safety watch the show from rear area.

ADVENTURE OF CURIOUS GEORGE It is kids area. Kids can take bath and can play with water here. It is good area during summers.

UNIVERSAL ANIMAL ACTORS In it you will see how dogs, cat , birds act according to their volunteers .They are actors .They learn and than act as human actors do. It is good show for kids and adults both.

SKY SURFING you can also enjoy indoor sky surfing here. They charge you for that approx $20 per person or you can enjoy it in glass cage with guide who will guide you and instruct you to do that.

In park there are many souvenir shops, Restaurants but they are over charged for everything if you compare it to outside shops. So we will recommend you first complete your tour to studio it will take maximum 6 hrs and than go to Hollywood boulevard and enjoy there. There you can dine, shop, walk. In the street you will find persons with different costumes you can take picture with them but you have to give them tip for that. There are some paid attractions also in Hollywood boulevard like Madam Tussad museum, Wax museum, Gourmet Chinese theater, Kodak theater, Walk of fame, shopping mall and many more. You can watch movie in gourmet Chinese theater also.

OPTIMIZED PLAN FOR ALL ATTRACTIONS:

After reviewing all attractions our recommanded plan is ....you should reach there sharp at 9 or 9:30 am because park open at 9 am after reaching and parking of car first you should take Studio tour which is on upper lot it will take 45 minute after that visit house of horror which is also on upper lot will take only 15 minutes after that go to lower lot and cover rides mummy ride and Jurassic park ride both are in lower lot than watch the shows back draft and special effect show.In special effect show they will ask for some volunteers so you can go and enjoy withy them so with this Lower lot almost done after that again head to upper lot and cover water world , terminator 2:3 D and Simpson’s ride. According to this plan you can cover all the attractions at the right time because nobody wants to attend house of horror in the starting and you will go there in morning so you will not get long queue there so it save your time everybody wants to cover rides first so that time you will be at upper lot and enjoying the studio tour that time so it saves your lot of time and when every body will come upper lot that time you will plan to go to lower lot so we are doing opposite to others so it will benefit us in saving our time to walk in Hollywood Boulevard.

HOW TO REACH:

Universal studios is easily accessible by car, bus or by air. Driving take 6 hrs from San Francisco to Universal studio. Drive is very scenic you will enjoy the way. You will find all the way sea is going with you and by air it takes approx 2 hr in that you can avoid the pain of driving and the road traffic .You can also take a bus tour to Universal studios. In Universal studio you have to pay $12 for parking which you cannot avoid anyhow and if you will park somewhere else it will be pain full and you have to walk a lot to Universal studios. You can park in Hollywood boulevard also and reach there by free shuttle to studios it can save your few extra bucks because they charge $2 for four hours if you will shop and eat anywhere in Hollywood blvd and attest the parking ticket there or $10 for full day so in this case you will save $2 but the only problem you can face whose probability is high that in return if you do not get shuttle to Hollywood blvd from studios.

STAY:

There are countless budget, mid range and splurge hotels in LA. Some are Hyatt regency and Hollywood Roosevelt are good and both are near to Hollywood boulevard.

ADVISE:

You can buy tickets for Universal studios from Craig list it will cost you half than if you buy from the universal studios ticket window. Generally the general admission one day ticket price is $ 67 and on Craig list you can get it in $ 45 easily. No scan and no identity proof they will ask when you get in the park. The only concern is that ticket should not be expire.
